Olean – Richard E. Kemp of Rt. 98 South, Franklinville and formerly of Olean died Wednesday November 30, 2005 at his residence. Born in Olean on May 9, 1948 he was a son of Archie E. and Katherine Davenport Kemp. Mr. Kemp enjoyed music and visiting with family and friends.

He is survived by two brothers Fred (Maryanne) McElfresh and John (Linda) Kemp, both of Olean; two sisters Caroline (Joseph) Kuter of Salem, SC and Doris Kemp of Sacramento, CA; numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by one sister Mildred L. Kemp; seven half sisters Marion McElfresh, Edna Lounsberry, Emily Roberts, Helen Maffei, Laura Barber, Myrtle Huff and Dorothy Bethune; three half brothers Emory McElfresh, Clarence Kemp and Fred Kemp.

There will be no public visitations. A memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home, 3128 West State Rd., Olean. Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
