Olean- Edward J. Lowe, Sr., of 401 Alder Street, died Thursday (April 16, 2015) at the Jennie B. Richmond Chaffee Nursing Home in Springville.
Born October 14, 1947 in Olean, he was the son of Leslie and Eva VanCuren Lowe. He married Jane Simon who survives.
Mr. Lowe enjoyed playing Bingo and going to the casino.
He is survived by two sons William Lowe of Olean, Steven Lowe of Olean; one daughter Elaina (Chris) Lucco of Bradford, PA; one step-daughter Tessie (Tom) Killian of Franklinville; one brother Ernest Lowe of Portville; one sister Joyce Lowe of Shinglehouse; 10 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by one son Edward J. Lowe, Jr., three brothers Robert, Richard and Jack; and one sister Helen.
A memorial service will be held on Monday (April 20, 2015) at 5:30pm at the Olean Revival Center 146 North 13th Street, Olean.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home, 3128 W. State Road, Olean.
