Mary Elizabeth "Ginger" Hebrock Allegany, NY Mary Elizabeth "Ginger" Hebrock, formerly of Jefferson Ave. in Allegany passed away Monday (September 14, 2015) after an extended period in Bradford Ecumenical Home in Bradford, PA. Born August 26, 1934 in Olean she was the daughter of G. Raymond and Bernice Emily Corwin Kuhn. On August 11, 1956 she married John D. Hebrock who predeceased her January 15, 2013 after a brief illness. Ginger was a graduate of Shinglehouse High School and Arnot Ogden Memorial Hospital in Horseheads. Over the years, she was employed in various nursing and supervisory positions for Olean General Hospital, Cattaraugus County Rehabilitation Center, and Trans Am Ambulance Services. She was the first female Trustee of the Village of Allegany, served as Deputy Mayor of Allegany, was a Police Matron, and was active in the Allegany Parent-Teachers Association and Allegany Music Boosters. Ginger also attended Trinity United Methodist Church and First Baptist Church of Olean. Surviving are 2 sons Steven Hebrock of Akron, OH and Thomas (Heather Sprague) Hebrock of Scottsville; 2 grandchildren Madeline Jewell and Benjamin G. Hebrock; a brother Jerry Kuhn of York, PA, and several nieces and nephews. The family will be present to receive friends on Saturday (September 26, 2015) from 10am to 11am at the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home, 3128 W. State Rd. Olean. A graveside prayer will immediately follow at Allegany Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that any donations be made directly to Bradford Ecumenical Home, 100 Francis Drive, Bradford, PA 16701.
